In 1988, Antonello Manuli founded AM Holdings S.p.A. to consolidate all the business initiatives of the Antonello Manuli family.
Stepping away from the daily management of the Manuli industrial group founded by his father Dardanio in 1935, he retained a 20 percent stake in Manuli Rubber (now Manuli Ryco). In 1996, he completed his final set of financial statements for Manuli Film and Manuli Autoadesivi, achieving remarkable results. Manuli Film posted a net profit of 40 billion lire—an all-time company record—while Manuli Autoadesivi recorded a net profit of 8 billion lire, an impressive figure following a significant restructuring linked to the establishment of the European Single Market.
At the time, the real estate sector was experiencing a downturn, presenting unique investment opportunities. The first project involved acquiring Palazzo Ricordi, a landmark building in Milan, which was renovated in two stages. Upon completion, the property achieved exceptional sustainability standards, receiving the prestigious LEED Gold Core & Shell certification and becoming the oldest building in the world to do so.
Further successful real estate initiatives followed, notably VP22-The Hidden Wood. This recent development earned both LEED Platinum Core & Shell and WELL Core Gold IWBI certifications and received two international awards: The Plan Award for Innovation and Design (Completed Projects) and the 2024 OPAL Award (Outstanding Property Award).
The extensive experience gained in these real estate ventures led to the establishment of AMH Urban Regeneration, a company dedicated to significantly reducing CO2 emissions, aligning with European sustainability directives.
In 2000, Antonello Manuli founded Hedge Invest SGR, with his daughters, Alessandra and Elisabetta. The firm specializes in hedge funds, an area where Alessandra and Elisabetta have developed considerable expertise, which they have shared in two publications: Hedge Funds and Gli hedge fund parlano italiano (Jackson Libri). Over time, Hedge Invest SGR expanded its product offering to include various alternative investment funds.
The same year saw the launch of Mondo Hedge—now known as Mondo Investor—to address the financial industry's growing need for specialized information. The company subsequently evolved its business model to include financial events, creating valuable opportunities for dialogue between providers and institutional clients.
